I am making fat people fatter

It's true, it really is, and I want to stop it.

Here's my plan. I think that restaurants should close before 11:00 pm, because people shouldn't be eating after 8:00 pm anyway. It's not healthy.

Since I waitress, I am serving people large pan meat lovers pizza at midnight. I am making them FAT!!!

I need to write to Obama and have him pass a bill or whatever to close restaurants earlier.

We need to join the fight against obesity!!! I don't care if people get the munchies or need drunk food after bar close. We can leave Erbert's and Gerbert's and Jimmy Johns open, because when you eat it you're not compromising your arteries.

As an added bonus...I wouldn't have to work until 1:00 am on Friday and Saturday nights. Which will make me very happy.

  3. We need to talk about this before you go and do something drastic. The best pizzas I had in college were delivered at 2am when I was drunk and still had to study for a test in my 8:00 class. Can't you have them sign a "promise not to sleep for at least 3 hours" waiver or something?!

  5. Stephanie Ann - You make a good point. I think I have some revisions to take care of before I put it in my stack of Obama mail.

  6. Ahh, ya-remember, their eating late is helping you get through college. Wait till you graduate, then write Obama:)

PS. That Thoreau quote on my blog--I first heard it on that TV show "Men In Trees." I had to rewind my DVR over a dozen times to get it written down! Glad you liked it, it really is thought provoking.

  7. I can't imagine the late night salad giving me the same sort of slothful satisfaction as an item from the Burger King menu. I don't know why some of those restaurants don't just serve beer, now that's where money can be made.

  8. Good idea, Kinsey! Let's stop obesity and give you some extra free time, it's a win-win scenario :D

  9. I have to agree with Peggers. It is keeping you rolling in the money, so you may not want to bring this to Barry's attention just yet.

On another note, Pizza Hut is no more responsible for obesity than bars are for the spread of STDs. It is all about making decent decisions.

  10. Sounds like a good idea to me! It would definitely help me out because sometimes after working late I get a craving for pizza-even though I DEFINITELY don't need it-I always break down and get some :(

  12. haha yeah restaurants are open pretty late.
I think all bars should have food though because I always get the munchies when I'm drinking and they could definitely make money off me!
I love pizza, do u work at pizza hut?

  13. Just imagine you were obese: what would you do in that case? You'd be mortified for one, but then the true beauty of the plan comes to light:

They would then JOG to a shop to buy food, losing a little weight!!!

  15. I used to work at a Ruby Tuesday's and it sucked. Not only was management just plain horrible, but I hated working those late hours. I was a hostess - worse job of my life. I'm so grateful I have the job I do now.
